FAQ’s:
Q: I’ve never done yoga before. Is this for beginners?
A: The yoga will be gentle and tailored for everyone. Sara, our yoga instructor for the day ( https://www.ontheroamingroad.com/ and Everglow Wellness: Studio + Spa ) has been hosting our yoga paddle evenings and our guests rave about the sessions!
Q: I’ve never kayaked before. Is that ok?
A: YES! So many of our regular guests kayak for the first time here. The water is as calm as can be, we have an easy in/out kayak cradle, and with a short instruction, you’ll be a pro in no time (well, maybe not a pro, but definitely independent!).
Q: What is the journaling process like? Do I need to share?
A: NO! This is a day for YOU. We want you to spend time in self-discovery and relaxation. The journaling session will be a couple of prompts and we’ll be breaking into smaller groups to write. You will be free to share as much or as little with your group as you’d like.
Q: What is Nature Therapy?
A: Laura (Home | Winding Willow Gatherings) is a certified Sylvotherapist pactitioner (Forest Bathing). Her philosophy is to help you root yourself in presence, connection, and the quiet magic that happens when you allow yourself to unplug and return to what is natural. You’ll be doing this while out on the water, connecting with the sounds, sights, and scents around you. Our special location provides a magical view within an extremely biodiverse and special environment.
Q: Tell me about the Jewelry Making.
A: Liz has been making jewelry off and on for over 20 years. With five years of metalsmithing education under her belt, she also loves to get lost in the color and energy of different stones. You’ll receive a high-quality stainless-steel (49 micro strands of steel for durability and movement) bracelet or anklet with one side of the clasp already attached and you’ll pick out your stone scheme and spend time creating a beautiful piece of jewelry as a memento from this day. Liz will attach the closing crimp bead and cover when your design is to your liking so you can wear your creation home.
Q: Chair Massage?
A: YES! During your time here, each guest will have an appointment scheduled for a 10-minute chair massage provided by a massage therapist from Everglow Wellness ( Everglow Wellness: Studio + Spa ). Believe me, 10 minutes will do WONDERS for your soul!
Q: What will we be eating?
A: Well, our good friends at The Optimist Cafe ( The Optimist Cafe | Bakery located in Jaffrey, New Hampshire ) in Jaffrey will be providing a light breakfast and a lovely lunch for the group. We’ll also have fruit and other healthy snacks, drinks, and tea available throughout the day. We promise you’ll be satisfied and satiated. We have a section on our intake form if you have any dietary restrictions. We’ll reach out if we have any questions.
Q: You mentioned the swag. Is it stuff I will use, or will it end up in my junk drawer, cabinet, or back of my closet?
A: We have sourced the highest quality products that we know WE will wear and use ALL THE TIME! The tumbler we sourced is one that I coveted that was at a coffee shop (photo in carousel). I designed the shirt (with a little help from my sister and from The Copy Shop | Printing & Graphic Design) and the “Mission Statement” on the shirt. This sentiment encompasses the vibe we hope you come into and leave the event with.
Q: Will this event sell out quickly?
A: We don’t know, but we suspect it will. We are capping the event with a small group so you can really experience the intimacy and community. Bring a friend or book by yourself and make new friends! But don’t sleep on signing up! We’d be sad for you to miss it.
Q: What if the weather is bad?
A: We have been talking to Mother Nature about this for months and are asking for her to provide us with a picture-perfect day. She seems to be cooperating so far, but if perchance she does not, our rain date is Sunday, 9/13.
Q: If I book now, is my ticket refundable?
A: 100% refund through 8/1. 75% refund through 8/22. 50% refund through 9/1. You may transfer your ticket only through us directly, with a confirmation via email - we get people trying to scam all ticketed events.
